Maintenance Department

The Morristown Housing Authority maintenance department employs seventeen full-time employees. The maintenance department covers a wide variety of tasks from cleaning and painting units, repairing of sewer and water lines, preventive maintenance and general everyday maintenance.

Tenants are encouraged to report needed repairs to the receptionist by calling 423-586-5115 ext. 0 during regular business hours.
For emergencies after hours and on weekends call 423-273-2489.
A list of emergencies that the maintenance department will respond to is posted at the main office and in each apartment.

The maintenance department provides a variety of services at no cost to tenants. One service is Monday trash pick up. Tenants can place items that are too large for the city furnished trash containers at the curb on Sunday afternoon or before 7am each Monday for pick up. Tenants are encouraged not to place anything at the curb after 7am on Monday.
